SUBJECT
The miner's shack in the background remains from the days of the Gold Rush in Calaveras County when the immediate area was actively prospected by hardy indiviudals seeking their fotune.

Today, the land is used to cultivate grapes, destined to be crushed and fermented in what has become a "botique" wine region of California.

The miner's shack fell down a short time after this image was captured.
